The two girls met almost a decade ago when they met on a visit to the patients of a children's hospital organized by Disney and the ABC Family channel, now Freeform. "Selena and I were in the same group and we connected," Raisa, 29, told Latina magazine in 2013.

Since then they have been very close and Raisa supported the 25-year-old interpreter when she went through the difficult moments that followed her much-publicized breakup with Justin Bieber or when she was diagnosed two years ago with lupus, the disease that finally He has forced her to undergo surgery to receive a transplant.
