In a crime that is drawing the world's attention to the unusualness of the alleged situation, an aspiring pastor confessed to killing his wife and later said it could have been because of the medication he was taking.

As reported by People, on Friday morning the young man named Matthew Phelps, from Raleigh, North Carolina, called 911 desperately, saying that his wife Lauren was lying on the floor of the room covered in blood and stated that he could be responsible of that situation.

"I had a dream and then I turned on the lights and she's dead on the floor," he said in the 911 call obtained by that means. "I have blood everywhere and there is a bloody knife on the bed and I think I did it. I can not believe this".

The 28-year-old man faces a murder charge after allegedly stabbing his wife in bed - although he claims he does not recall carrying out the alleged crime because he could have done it while asleep and even suggested that the medicine for the The flu he had been taking could have influenced all of this.

"I took more medicine than I should (have taken)," he said on that call. "I took Coricidin Cough & Cold because I thought they could help me feel better. Many times I cannot sleep at night. So take a little bit.”
