After 20 years of trying to have a baby, a couple from Serbia saw their dream come true, only to discover that their relationship as a couple was not so strong as to take care of it.

The happiness of Atifa Ljajic who up to the age of sixty was able to fulfill her dream of being a mother has a bittersweet taste, because when she finally had her first daughter, her husband Serif Nokic, she announced her retirement from the hogrt upon hearing the cry of the baby.

According to the Daily Mail, Ljajic was so determined to be a mother that she even ignored the warnings of the risks that this would have for her health and underwent in vitro fertilization, which allowed her to become pregnant. Obviously hers was a high-risk pregnancy and the last three months were spent in the hospital.

Finally on June 20, she was able to hold her firstborn in her arms. Alina called her and she thought she was living the happiest stage of her life… Until the girl cried and scared her dad with her screams.

Explaining why he would abandon his wife and daughter, Nokic said: "I am sick, I am 68 years old, I am diabetic and I have a weak heart … It is not easy not to keep an eye on the whole night and hear a baby cry".

But this is not something that scares the sexagenarian mother, who assures that despite her age and not having the economic conditions to raise her daughter, she will not give up: “I will fight to raise Alina in the best way you can and guide you on the right path. I will only love her,”said the woman. She added: "I know it will not be easy, but I still think there are good people who will want to help me."
