Lobster In A Suitcase

The Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) found a live 20-pound lobster inside a suitcase at Boston Logan International Airport.

Michael McCarthy, a TSA spokesman, said the lobster was found in checked luggage by a passenger last Sunday, in terminal C of said airport. However, authorities were surprised by the immensity of the animal, which they described as "the largest," according to the AP cable.

The TSA spokesman himself joked with the fact that officers are prepared to check all items found in suitcases. "Including this lobster of 20 pounds or more," he wrote on his Twitter account.

The AP note explains that it is not prohibited in the United States to transport lobsters. She even adds that the TSA portal explains that if you are going to carry one of these live crustaceans you can pass it through the security points with certain restrictions. "A live lobster is allowed to go through security, but it must be transported in a container that is transparent, plastic and does not spill," AP publishes.

McCarthy joked that the lobster was in a cooler and cooler and was cooperative during the checkup process.

The large dimensions and volume of the animal can be seen by comparing its length and width to the anatomy of the TSA officer holding it in hand.
