Kill Uber Driver

At 16, a young Chicago girl, Eliza Wasni, is accused of murdering the Uber driver she hired with a machete and a dagger after allegedly stealing both weapons at a Walmart store.

Prosecutors said the 34-year-old Grant Nelson had picked up Wasni on Wednesday just a few blocks from a Walmart to take her to a suburb of the city, according to The Chicago Tribune newspaper. Once in the vehicle, the young woman suddenly and without apparent cause attacked him savagely with those sharp weapons.

The man managed to get out of his Hyundai vehicle and ran while shouting, “Help me, help me. I'm going to die . Authorities came to his aid, and he was able to give a description of his assailant while being transferred to the hospital. Unfortunately, when he got there he passed away.

Meanwhile, his attacker stole his car which ended up colliding. After that, he ran away from the vehicle but first took off his bloodstained shirt, so at the time of his capture he was wearing only a bra and sneakers.

Upon his capture, Wasni stated that he selected his victim at random. The judge in charge of his case denied him bail on the grounds that the crime he is accused of is too violent. During the hearing, Uber driver brother Todd Nelson described the deceased who was a pianist and loved classical music as “the kindest and kindest person, never hurt anyone, was good to animals, was good to children"

The defendant faces first-degree murder charges and was assigned a state advocate.
