The mother of the secret daughter of the baseball player José Reyes made serious accusations against the athlete in his first statements after the lawsuit he filed against him.

In an interview with Pagesix, Christina Sánchez accused the current New York Mets player of “cruelly” abandoning the girl, named Liyah, who is 7 years old today.

"I thought José loved me, but when I found out that he had married a woman he had told me he had separated from, I felt hurt and disgusted," said Sánchez, 31.

He assured that they had a two-year romance, until the Dominican married Katherine Ramírez in 2008.

The model says that when she found out she was pregnant, she felt "confused and scared."

"I was angry because he told me that he had to keep our daughter a secret, he did not want his wife to find out," the model reiterated. "I went along with it because I wanted to keep our daughter's father in her life."

However, according to his version, Reyes cut off all help and contact in 2015 when his wife and mother of three other children of the player, learned of the existence of the creature.

"José was furious and blamed me," Sánchez said. “He changed overnight, stopped seeing Liyah and completely, cruelly, abandoned her. He cut his own small payments in half and stopped calling on [his] birthday or Christmas. It was a very tough year."

The model has asked through attorneys that Reyes, to whom her former Colorado Rockies team owes $ 40 million, assume her responsibilities or face a lawsuit of $ 5 million.
