After the unfortunate news of the accident suffered by a plane Monday night near Medellín that was carrying 22 players from the Brazilian club Chapecoense, in addition to journalists and crew members, it was reported that one of the six survivors, the substitute goalkeeper Jackson Follmann, lost his right leg.
After being rescued in a critical condition, doctors had to amputate his limb in order to save his life. Follman was the substitute goalkeeper and survived along with fellow footballers Danilo Padihla and Alan Rushel, journalist Rafael Henzel, stewardess Ximena Suárez, and coach Erwin Turimi, who are also being served.
Unfortunately goalkeeper Danilo Padihla died after being rescued.
The players of the Brazilian team were heading to Medellín to participate in the final of the Copa Sudamericana.
Alan Rushel, was the first rescued. According to Caracol Radio, he went through the operating room with a fractured hip and multiple trauma and cuts to the head.
Henzel, meanwhile, is being treated for trauma to the chest and a fractured left leg.
