The chain of stores is accused of selling a copy of one of the brand's most popular models.

Walmart has always been the perfect place to shop for the week, buy the appliances you need, and also the clothes the whole family needs. And all this is available at great prices, something that falls perfectly for the hundreds of low-income families in the country. It is also there that these families buy their children imitation pieces from many brands, including boots identical to those of Ugg. It is precisely because of these shoes almost identical to those of the famous brand that the giant chain of stores is now in serious trouble.

It turns out that Deckers Outdoor Corp., the company that owns the famous shoe brand, sued Walmart for selling a copy of its most popular boots. The model in disagreement is the so-called Bailey Button. The plaintiffs assure that although the model is not patented, the popularity and reception it has should be enough for them to be the only ones to have the right to do so.

"The Bailey Button model is one of Ugg's most recognized and marketed models and has been featured in promotional material as well as on many company exchanges," the company says in the lawsuit. "In addition [this pair] has been related to various celebrities, has received a lot of publicity and has appeared on the pages of popular magazines in the United States and the world."

Deckers wants Walmart to stop selling the copy of the boots right away and even receive parts of the profits the store has received from sales of the boots.

For his part, a Walmart representative assures that the company is taking these accusations very seriously and therefore they are investigating the situation.

We will see what this will be.
