The wife of former President Barack Obama imitated one of the most iconic looks of the interpreter of "Single Ladies" as part of a photo shoot in which women from the Beyoncé family and various celebrities participated. The photographs were published on the official website of the singer Beyonce.com. "Happy birthday Beyoncé, from your family and friends," read the message accompanying the black-and-white photos.
Obama appears in a black long-sleeved shirt with bare shoulders and a silver necklace, which is a long and well-worked piece. To complement her style, she wears a wide-brimmed hat that covers part of her face, and her hair has two braids: just like Beyoncé in the video for her song “Formation”. The image is an imitation in tribute to the award-winning singer, who is a close friend of the Obama family. Beyoncé sang at former President Obama's inaugural dance in 2009.
Other celebrities who replicated Beyoncé's same look as part of celebrating her new year of life include: tennis player Serena Williams; her daughter, Blue Ivy; her mother Tina Knowles Lawson and singers Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
