Producer José Alberto Castro merged the universe of his successful soap opera Por amar sin ley in his most recent production, Médicos Línea de vida, resulting in an interesting crossover between the two fictions that was developed little by little throughout the four months that the plot starring Livia Brito and Daniel Arenas was broadcast in Mexico.

"When I did the first season of Por amar sin ley it was my last project with Televisa, when they saw the success they had they decided to do another season and José Alberto Castro [the producer] told me, 'I mean I can't do it without you', this is a choral cast and all the characters are important and Alejandra is a super important part of this story. Then I was supposed to finish By loving lawless I was going to take three months of vacation to start Dynasty and we used those three months to record the second season,”she explained at the time.
