2019 has undoubtedly been a very special year for Carolina Gaitán, both professionally and personally.
The Colombian actress not only concluded her participation in the successful Telemundo saga Without a Sin, There is Paradise and began a new professional adventure with her musical monologue Vida because there is only one, but also left her country of origin, Colombia, to settle along with her husband in Los Angeles.
In an exclusive interview with People en Español, the also singer tells us about her new projects and reveals what she thought of the outcome her character had in The End of Paradise.
Were you satisfied with the ending your character had in The End of Paradise?
The truth is I feel that Gustavo Bolívar [the writer] is a professional, he has a fantastic imagination and the way in which he carried out so many seasons with such success… I definitely have nothing to say about his work. I think everything was really beyond what we imagined and everything has its end.
We know you are residing in Los Angeles, what motivated you to leave Colombia behind?
My husband is American and he is working here in Los Angeles. We are in the process of my residence.
What are your next plans to follow at a professional level?
The tour of the United States with my musical monologue. We already started with Miami, now we are waiting to finish the entire residency process to be able to continue with the following tour cities.
Is new music coming for 2020?
Yes, I already have three songs ready, they are in the production process. We are in the sights to be able to make the video before the end of the year and if not the first month, but of course yes, new music is coming from La Gaita.
Would there be a chance to see you in another Telemundo series?
To me, Telemundo seems to me [a fantastic company], I adore all the people with whom I worked, with whom we have had contact … They have been divine with me, I adore them, so of course I would like to.

How do you visualize yourself in a few years?
I always visualize myself acting, singing and dancing. I have been an actress for a long time, it is my life, it is my profession, it is my everything. So I always visualize myself doing what I like to do and what I have been doing all my life.
2020 is coming, what do you ask the new year?
I ask God for great health, great prosperity, that my family is well and that we are all together. I ask you for a lot of work, for many characters to come, for many stories and to be able to keep in touch with my beautiful audience.
