Being part of one of the most successful Spanish-language television series for three years with a character that arouses passions among the public and, in addition, having millions of followers around the world who follow and applaud his work daily has made Stephania Duquelose not one iota of its simplicity and humility. At 25 years old, the young Colombian actress enjoys the honeys of the success of her participation in Telemundo's hit telenovela The End of Paradise while still having her feet on the ground. The long and uncertain path that she has had to travel, despite her youth, until she reached this sweet moment of her career in which she finds herself, has made Duque today value much more all the good that is happening to her thanks to Mariana.. And you can see that as soon as you start talking to the actress. Fortunately, Stephania has nothing to do with the character she plays in Telemundo's fiction and which generates so many emotions in the more than 1.5 million viewers who follow her every night. Generous and kind, the actress overflows maturity and intelligence in each of her responses during this talk that we had with her via telephone in which Duque takes stock of her participation in The End of Paradise and also talks about other more intimate topics, such as her boyfriend and her wish to one day start his own family.

Many times people say 'wow overnight is famous' and what they do not know is that one from a very young age is pedaling him… Many times I went to casting, many times they told me no and many times they told me it was even bad for this

You have been part of this successful soap opera for three years, how would you summarize them?

Each era brings its fruits, but on a personal and work level I believe that this is one of the most beautiful stages of my life. I think Sin sinos … and El final del paraíso opened doors for me that I never thought of opening and gave me an international exhibition that I never imagined having and that is priceless. I think what leaves me emotionally and in my heart is absolutely great.

At first it was very difficult because people, having no references about my work, did not understand that I was only playing one character. They saw me as if I really was Mariana. So let's say that stage was a bit complex because almost everything was mistreatment

How have you dealt with the fact that your character awakens so many passions in the audience, both good and bad?

At first it was very difficult because people, having no references about my work, did not understand that I was only playing one character. They saw me as if I really was Mariana. So let's say that stage was a bit complex because almost everything was mistreatment, but already in the second season I feel that the hateful comments are going down a bit and now in this last one all the messages are practically flattering my work. Growth has been super pretty and has had everything, both good and bad times.

How do you remember today your first day of filming in Sin senos si hay paradise?

Fortunately I only had to record one scene and did not have to say much. It was an airplane scene in which I kind of said many things with the attitude and the look but really in text it was very little. So I feel that it helped me a lot because it is not the same as when you have 20 scenes. And it was super nice because I recorded with Cathy Siachoque, I recorded with Carmen, I recorded with Fabián and with the director of Unit 2 and they received us super cute.

I love children, I like them very much. I have little brothers, I am an older sister, maybe they are not so young, we are all very contemporary, but I did not find it difficult to be a mom in fiction

What was going through your head at that moment? Did you ever imagine the leading role that your character would have?

They always told me that Mariana was going to grow up, but that kind of thing never came out of comments. I think they also wanted to prove a little how risky it was suddenly to give so much participation to a character and how well he did it, that is, I feel that they were measuring themselves as in many aspects. But the first director who had this series from the beginning told me. He told me 'do your job well because you don't know from now on what's going to happen to you'.

Without a doubt Mariana has had an important evolution …

If a rebellious girl when she advances in her life they do not put a real brake on her, I think that it is very difficult to handle the situation and things like what we see now turn out. So if you really start spinning it does have a lot to do with Mariana becoming like this because she has always felt like alone and in one way or another she has felt the absence of her family nucleus. She like seeing all these things that she lacks, her brother is also sent away, her father also had a problem and did not appear again … All those things make a girl who started being rebellious feel that somehow seek refuge in other things and she herself is very prone to seek evil.

I really wanted the character to develop differently to suddenly see a more maternal side, but still the character was bad and it had to be done that way

Has being a mom in fiction awakened your maternal instinct?

I love children, I like them very much. I have little brothers, I am an older sister, maybe they are not so young, we are all very contemporary, but it did not seem difficult to be a mother in fiction. I really wanted even the character to develop in a different way to suddenly see a more maternal side and suddenly see something of light in Mariana in that sense, but still the character was bad and you had to do it that way and it was done.

In the series your character fails to find stability in the love field; However, in real life, despite your youth, you have been in the relationship for several years …

That's right, I have 8 years of relationship with a beautiful man who supports me from the beginning and who I love with all my heart.

I would love to have a husband and I would love to give him a large part of my life and my mornings and my awakening and yes it is with Robi [his current partner], well

How is he?

My boyfriend is very special and superdetallista. He supports me in everything he can, that is, he prepares the casting with me, the scenes, everything. It is unconditional support for me.

Do you dream of wearing white and getting married?

Of course, I would love to have a husband and I would love to give her a large part of my life and my mornings and my awakening and yes it is with Robi [her current partner], so much the better.

Sometimes you think that this will last you for a lifetime, that you will have many characters from the time you do the first one and then you realize that you are not

With so much fame and popularity that it makes you keep your feet on the ground?

I believe that the values instilled in me at home, I believe that is what makes me what I am. Not having had everything from a very young age also makes me appreciate what I have today and having seen my mother's struggle taking us forward. Having started to understand this world of entertainment from a very young age, I also feel that it has made me have my feet on the ground because sometimes the environment is not known very closely and you think that this will last you for a lifetime, that you are going to have many characters from the moment you do the first one and then you realize that no, that this is really a matter of luck, of just being in the perfect moment, at the perfect time with the perfect people.

God has sent me the signs and I have simply tried to understand and deal with them in the most professional way I can

Let's say it is a bit of talent but also a bit of luck…

Luck is like such a strange term because it is as if you voted at random and sometimes I feel that it is not so. Obviously I also named it but I feel that it is more a matter of understanding God what He brought you into the world. There are people who have not been able to feel I have to define what they came to and then they are stubborn and they go for a spotlight and say 'this is my thing' and what they are not realizing is that they are losing opportunities to their around. And I feel that this is exactly what happened to me, like God has sent me the signs and I have simply tried to understand and face them in the most professional way I can.

Although Sin senos … has been your greatest success, before reaching this point in your career you have had to travel a path that has made you value everything …

Exactly. Many times people say 'wow overnight is famous' and what they do not know is that one from a very young age is pedaling him… Many times I went to casting, many times they told me no and many times they told me it was even bad for this … Besides, this is also a supersubjective career, so what is good for you is wrong for someone else and what is perfect. In truth everything depends on the point of view with which you look at it.
