Renato López Capture His Alleged Murderer

Almost two years have passed since the body of the Mexican actor Renato López was discovered lifeless. The blue-eyed man was shot to death near Mexico City when he was just beginning to experience the best moment of his career.

His body was found in the municipality of Jilotzingo inside a car. The body had bullet wounds in the face and belly and was next to the body of its representative, Omar Girón. Now, the Mexican authorities have just announced the arrest of a subject who is, presumably, one of those responsible for the heinous crime.

Through a tweet published this Sunday, the Mexican State Prosecutor's Office published an edited photo of the alleged murderer, identified only as Adrián “N”. "[He is] one of the subjects who would have shot actor Renato López and one other person, whose bodies were located on board a vehicle in Jilotzingo on November 24, 2016," the message stated.

According to Mexican media, the detainee was linked to the process and pretrial detention was established in the Tlalnepantla prison, State of Mexico.

This is the fourth arrest linked to the death of the actor who alternated with Aislinn Derbez, and who was friends with Bárbara Mori and singer Juanes.

The murder was reportedly due to revenge. The victims were summoned on November 23 to a school in the town of Santa María Mazatla, near the Chiluca Golf Club for an alleged work appointment. There they boarded a vehicle to attend the alleged appointment, but were ambushed.

In December 2016, the authorities arrested Mario Alberto “N”, José Pedro “N” and Ricardo “N”, indicated as accomplices to the crime. One of them was the owner of the car where the two bodies were found.
