This is a hairy case of mistaken identity.
According to Yahoo UK., A woman bought what she believed to be a Japanese spitz puppy last year from a pet store and recently discovered that the "dog" is a fox.
The fox's owner told the Chinese television station Shanxi that she paid close to the fact that she never barked and had very thick hair, her suspicions about the animal's true origin increased when the cub refused to eat dog food after three months, reports The Mirror.
The zookeeper has since confirmed to the owner, identified as Mrs. Wang by the Chinese media, that her dog is indeed a fox.
After learning the truth, the woman made the difficult decision to deliver the pet to the zoo so that the fox could receive the correct diet and care.
