Since President Donald Trump's administration announced that the DACA program would end, different sectors of the Latino community have expressed their support for the Dreamers.

The most recent organization to join the multiple initiatives to save the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals was The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF), which through a statement shared with the media announced a campaign created to postpone the date set by the US government to terminate the program.

As shared in the CHCF message, October 5 of this year would be the date set by the Trump administration to end DACA, the day the organization wants to try to postpone, at least until January 5, 2018.

With the support of other organizations such as America's Voice, Make the Road New York, National Immigration Law Center, Fair Immigration Movement, National Partnership for New Americans, and United We Dream, the campaign seeks to collect as many citizens' signatures as possible to pressure a postponement of the end of the program that benefits around 800,000 young immigrants (follow this link to leave your signature).

Not only have organizations from different sectors echoed their support for the Dreamers, multiple entertainment stars have also raised their voices against Trump's controversial decision.

Catherine Siachoque, Charytin Goyco, Lourdes Stephen, María Elena Salinas, Jacky Bracamontes and Carlos Ponce have been just some of the celebrities who on social media have shown their support for young immigrants favored by DACA.
