Three-month-old Knox's mother Elisha Palmer has been left empty-handed.

The little boy lost his life while sleeping from Sudden Death Syndrome (SIDS), according to the doctors.

This diagnosis is usually made because the death of the infant under the age of one cannot be explained after an investigation, an autopsy, the place of death is examined and the medical history is reviewed, explains the note from People.

“There is no word in the dictionary to describe pain when you lose a child. I keep telling myself that I don't know what to do with my arms. My arms are empty. He was always in them,”Palmer, the 36-year-old mother, told the magazine.

In addition, he indicated that there are too many blurred things in his memory. “I remember being in the emergency room. I remember the doctors coming in and crying. They allowed us to go back inside and hug him. And say goodbye to him,”Palmer explained.

Knox's mother says she had heard of a new technology - an advanced monitor that kept track of heart rate and oxygen levels - and even considered buying it, but didn't.

“I have two older children who were healthy. I didn't think this could happen to us, Palmer said during the same interview. So she and her husband have taken it upon themselves to honor the memory of their baby by letting the world know how she died and what she believes might have prevented her death. That's why the Knox Blocks Foundation started. She also created a Facebook page on her behalf to raise money and get those monitors for other families.
