Michael Rubino decided to become a sperm donor in the 90s but he never imagined that today he would say that he has had contact with 18 of his children, who could be even more.

As Rubino himself shared with People magazine, it all started when he and his then-wife discovered that they could not have children and they met other couples who were in the same situation. So he decided to donate his sperm so other families could make their dream of having children come true.

During the donation process, Michael had no problem indicating that once the little ones reached the age of 18 they could contact him, if that was his wish, but he never believed that any of them decided to contact him in the future.

The 57-year-old man, a resident of the city of Los Angeles, divorced his wife in 1996, leaving aside since then his great desire to have a family. "I realized that I was happy being alone … I am an artist and I enjoy my solitude," he shared.

Now, Michael revealed that he has been in contact with 18 of those children as a result of their donations. Even more surprising is that he now lives with one of the moms who receive his sperm and helps him raise one of his children, 19-year-old Jake Strassberg.

"I adore them all … they are all wonderful to me," added Rubino, who also shared that the initial contact with his 18 children came from a nonprofit organization called Wendy Kramer.
