2019 is about to end and both Univision and Telemundo did their best to try to captivate the viewer with the most varied fictions. Not all the productions that were released throughout the year, however, had the expected success. Just as there were many that had the support of the audience, there were also others that unfortunately passed without pain or glory in prime time.
Doña Flor and her two husbands
This was the case, for example, of the Mexican soap opera Doña Flor and her two husbands that Univision premiered on April 15 at 9 pm EST. The fiction barely lasted a week in primetime since, due to its discreet audience data, the chain soon changed its schedule.
The Baron
Something similar happened at the beginning of the year to the Telemundo superset starring the Mexican actor Francisco Angelini, who was also taken out of primetime after failing to meet the network's expectations in terms of audience.
Prisoner No.1
The discreet audience data that Telemundo's political drama also obtained caused the network to end a month earlier than expected. Of the 64 episodes that were recorded and available on Netflix, the story starring Erik Hayser finally condensed into 44 chapters.

You can't hide
The psychological thriller starring Blanca Soto was another of the mistakes of the year. Although it had the expected return to television of the Mexican actress after her successful leading role in Señora Acero, the series had very poor audience data. Fortunately for Telemundo, the story only had 10 chapters, so it only aired for two weeks.

Other fictions that failed to shine in Hispanic prime time in 2019 were Un poquito tuyo (Telemundo), which starred Marjorie de Sousa and Jorge Salinas, Together the heart is never wrong (Univision) -the first gay soap opera on Televisa- and the second season of For loving without law (Univision), among others.
