Inmates of a prison in Chaparral, New Mexico want to do their bit to help victims of the shooting that occurred this Saturday at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, which has shocked the nation, leaving 22 fatalities.
Inmates at the Otero County Prison, which is located about 30 minutes from El Paso, are organizing a sale of baked potatoes that they will cook and sell to staff working in that prison.
The event will take place this Friday, according to Nissi Jiménez told TMZ.com. The woman is an employee of the prison and ensures that all funds will go to the El Paso Community Foundation, which in turn will channel the funds.
According to said source, about 15 inmates will participate in the elaboration of the 150 potatoes that will be sold to suspects, the funds will be frozen immediately and that no false campaign will be allowed.
