An Argentine woman is accused of using garden shears to cut the penis of her ex-lover.
Brenda Barattini, 28, was convicted of the attempted murder of Sergio Fernández, 42, in November 2017 at her Córdoba residence.
She confessed that she planned to take revenge on her ex-boyfriend after he shared her sex videos. "It violated my privacy, my life and my career," Barattini told the court, reports Metro UK.
According to prosecutors, Barattini blindfolded his partner before cutting 90 percent of his penis.
"After putting the blindfold on, he said he had to guess where he was touching me," Fernández told the court. "He also wanted to tie me up, but I didn't let him."
Fernández stated that he believed she wanted to kill him during the bloody attack. After spending eight days in a coma, she says she now lives in "constant fear" that women want to kill her.
The jury of four men and four women unanimously convicted Barattini in the attempted murder.
"No one has been convicted in this country of attempted murder for a wound to the penis," said the lawyer. Barattini plans to appeal the conviction.
