Glamsquad creative director makeup artist Kelli Bartlett visited our beauty closet to teach us how to make a perfect Day of the Dead Catrina that anyone can get, even if you're not a makeup expert. What are you waiting to start practicing?

1. With a dark pencil, divide the face into two parts: in one you will make the skull and in another the most natural beauty look that you like the most.

2. After painting the half where the skull will go completely matt white, draw a black circle around the eye and fill it with the same black color. Do the same on the tip of the nose, drawing half a black heart.

3. Draw a fine black line from where the cheekbone begins to the mouth dividing it in two, making a “Y” shape as you approach the mouth. With a brush, blur the line to your liking to create a bony face feeling.

4. Use a very fine black eye brush to create the lines on the lips and then blend the result with your finger or a thicker brush.

5. Next, paint the brow bone black to continue creating that bony feel you are looking for and on the other side, make up your face like you would on any party night taking care as you get closer to parting.

And after all this makeup, what to do when you get home with all this makeup? The beauty expert recommended that we undo the look with Ponds' Cold Cream Cleanser. Be careful not to use too much product, which goes a long way. Massage it with your fingers across your face until the cream turns into oil.
