A boy with cancer wrote his own obituary and the wise words of the little boy have touched many hearts. Garrett Matthias, 5, took his battle with cancer with a sense of humor. The boy, who lived in Iowa with his family, died on July 6, but left an eternal mark on his loved ones, who helped him write a very special obituary. His parents Emilie and Ryan wanted to write down the boy's last wishes.

"The things I love the most: playing with my sister, my blue bunny, metal music, the Legos, my friends from kindergarten, Batman," said Garret.

He also described what he hated the most: "putting on pants, the stupid cancer, the needles." The boy also specified what he wanted after he died. "When I die I'm going to turn into a gorilla and poop on dad," he joked. The little boy said that the funerals were sad and he wanted "five inflatable houses to jump (because I'm 5 years old), Batman and snow cones."

His parents will pay tribute to him on July 14 with a ceremony where they will fulfill almost all their wishes. According to the Des Moine Register newspaper, the tribute will include five inflatable houses, snow cones and fireworks. Emilie told the newspaper that she and her husband had spoken to the boy about death after watching a movie with a sad ending. "Garret was very unique," said her mother. "What I didn't want is for this to be a common obituary and having a sad funeral. We have already cried oceans of tears in the last nine months.”
