The Georgia woman accused of killing four of her children and her husband told a fifth daughter that she was "going to see Jesus" before beginning to cut her with a knife. The horrifying detail was revealed by the sole survivor of the massacre, 9-year-old Diana Romero, who continues her recovery after the tragedy that occurred on July 6.

According to the testimony of the minor that was obtained by People magazine, the girl said that her mother Isabel Martínez, originally from Mexico, began her attack at dawn while everyone was sleeping. After her mother cut her off, he took her to the room she shared with her husband.

There, the girl noticed that her father, Martín Romero, was awake and that when he saw what was happening, he tried to intervene but Martínez took his life. The girl said that before her mother attacked her, she told her that she was going "to go to heaven to see Jesus." The girl replied to her mother that she did not want to see Jesus and began to cry when she heard his words, according to her account.

That morning, Martinez, 33, stabbed to death not only her husband but also her children Isabela Martínez, 10; Dacota Romero, 7; Dillan Romero, 4; and Axel Romero, 2. According to documents in the case, Martínez has affirmed that she did not kill her family and that the true murderer is a person who frequented her home whom she has refused to name.
