Young Broadway star Laurel Griggs has passed away, family members confirmed. I was 13 years old.
Griggs died on November 5 and a funeral service was held three days later, according to the Dignity Memorial page.
Her family told The Post that she died on Nov. 5 in New York City after suffering a "massive asthma attack," according to Page Six. The teenager was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital, her grandfather, David B. Rivlin, told the publication. The doctors were unable to revive her.
Griggs made his Broadway debut at age 6 as Polly in Rob Ashford's musical production of Cat on a Hot in 2013, opposite Scarlett Johansson, according to his IMDb page.
Griggs is best known for her role as Ivanka in the Tony Award-winning musical ONCE, which she played for 17 months between 2013 and 2015.
In 2016, he appeared in the romantic comedy Cafe Society alongside Steve Carell, Blake Lively, and Kristen Stewart. She also appeared in several episodes of Saturday Night Live.
