In 1992, after seeing an image of Lady Di sitting alone next to the Taj Majal, the famous designer's favorite, Christian Louboutin, decided to create a pair of shoes "that would make her smile." And it is that Princess Diana was at that time traveling alone in India, shortly before her scandalous divorce from Prince Charles.
"[In the photo] I was looking at his feet and I thought he looked so sad … I thought it would be a good idea to design something for him to make him smile when he looked at his feet," said the designer in a documentary on British Channel 4 about images that were inspired.
And so the “Love” model was born, one of the first of the French brand known for the red sole, which is now reinventing itself in shiny patent leather, yes, maintaining the black and red colors of the original design.
In addition to these shoes and another version of the model without heels, the French designer has taken advantage of the 90's revival that the fashion world has been experiencing lately to add other accessories to the collection, such as wallets, bags and backpacks, all decorated with the word 'Sees it'.
The models are for sale on the designer's website, among the Van Haren and Saint Laurent wear them in their heels.
