The President of the United States, Donald Trump, does not take his finger off the line in his desire to put a heavy hand on the immigration laws of this country, including his famous proposal to raise the wall between the borders of Mexico and this country.
As reported by EFE, on Sunday the president sent to the leaders of Congress his plan for immigration reform, which includes a hard line of new laws which must be enacted in exchange for extending the protection of deportation to 800,000 young immigrants, many of which they were illegally brought to the United States as children and are known as the "Dreamers."
In addition, Trump's list of demands included overhauling the green card system, building his promised wall along the southern border, expediting the expulsion of Central American minors, hiring more agents, and limiting the granting of visas. through a merit system.
Among the conditions established in the 14 pages of the document that the president sent to Congress, it is established that in any negotiation related to the legalization of the Dreamers, the construction of the wall should be included along the entire border with Mexico, as well as other laws. that are in line with their rigid immigration policy.
According to the draft to which that news agency had access, the current government is willing to work with Congress to achieve "three objectives": guarantee "safe and legal" admissions to the United States, defend "the security" of the country and "protect the American workers and taxpayers."
A tough battle is already planned to become accepted by Democrats.
