The Kobe Bryant foundation known as Mamba Sports will henceforth be the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, in tribute to the Lakers legend and daughter Gianna, both of whom recently died in a tragic helicopter crash in the Calabasas Mountains around the city of Los Angeles.

Vanessa Bryant revealed it on her instagram account. "There is no # 24 without # 2," she said, referring to the numbers on her husband and daughter's shirts. “We have updated the name of the Mamba Sports Foundation to now call it Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. Our mission continues to be the same as always, now stronger than ever, to help young people through sport.”

Created by her late husband, the foundation helps low-income youth, through its sports programs, to enrich their socio-emotional and physical development.

Since a cloudy Sunday morning the heart of Los Angeles awakened with the chilling news of the death of the legendary NBA player, Kobe Bryant, in that terrible plane crash with his daughter and seven other people, gestures of affection have not been stopped happening.

But if there is anything pending in the world regarding this case, it is the evolution of the well-being of the family of the deceased, who left behind a wife who adored him and three daughters who will have to face forever the loss of their father and their sister.

Kobe's widow, Vanessa Bryant, opened her instagram account a few days after the tragedy that shocked the world and there she lives her mourning in public, sharing intimate moments around her family.

Surely this beautiful woman of Mexican descent finds some kind of comfort and shelter in knowing herself accompanied in her pain by millions and millions of fans around the world, who mourn with her the death of her husband and her little Gianna.
