Singer Roberto Tapia did not start the new year as he would have liked.
He did not have a big party, as he usually does, but went to the slope and worried about the health of his mother, Claudia Tapia, who is still hospitalized.
Despite seeing a ray of hope after doctors removed her mother from a machine that assisted her breathing - just as she was reunited with family, friends and followers, praying for her health - her mother remains delicate. Today, the singer begs for a miracle to happen and be granted a new lease on life.
“It was not the start of the year 2020 that I expected, but I accept it even if it hurts. I just want to ask my almighty God and my little virgin of Guadalupe [to] give my mother the opportunity to continue here with us to enjoy and love her. That is what I ask for in the New Year. I love you mother and here I will be taking care of you until I take you back home,”wrote the singer in his Instagram stories.
Contrary to other years in which his year resolutions included professional goals and different wishes, for this new decade Tapia only wants to have his healthy and smiling mother back at home.
I love you mom. I want to see you again, your beautiful smile and your joy”, she wrote next to a photograph next to her mother.
On Monday of next week the singer's mother will be three weeks in hospital. She was admitted there after suffering a severe headache and treated for a stroke. Since then, it has been struggling between life and death. According to a source close to the singer, doctors have said she has a 50 percent chance of improvement in her health.
