It's funny but Jaime Lee Curtis' career took off about 40 years ago when he filmed the movie Halloween. Five films the lady is still associated with this horror film saga, although for her there is no explanation of what people see in this type of film.

"I do not understand why people like this type of film," the star graciously assures People en Español when she exclusively presents her new film Knives Out, which premieres on November 27.

In this new movie, Lee Curtis plays the role of Linda Drysdale, a successful businesswoman who is involved in the mysterious death of her father, Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) after he was found dead in his incredible and mysterious Massachusetts mansion.

But don't be in a hurry, this time Lee Curtis will not start screaming in terror but laughing out loud with this nice comedy of entanglements with a multi-star cast.

"What happens in this type of mystery that is located in a mansion", explains Lee Curtis about the location of the flme, in Boston, "is that the house becomes a character in the movie (…) what happens in this kind of mysteries is that someone is going to inherit the mansion… everyone wants it.”

Have you lived in a house just as curious or strange? we ask him. "I lived in an apartment building in West Hollywood, California that had ghosts," he explains. "[The late actress] Bette Davis lived there. It had a lot of history. My dad [ Tony Curtis] lived in a house with hidden panels, although I never lived there."

By the way, Cuban-American Ana de Armas heads the cast in the role of the victim's nurse and caregiver. The handsome Daniel Craig plays Detective Benoit Blanc, who tries to solve the mystery.

The film is directed by Rian Johnson, the young director who rose to fame for his work on Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017).

Don Johnson plays the role of Jaime Lee Curtis' husband. Chris Evans, Toni Collette and Michael Shannon round out the cast of this fun movie that seems like the perfect post-day turkey date.
