British stylist Chris Appleton, artistic director of color wow and responsible for the most incredible looks of Jennifer López, Kim Kardashian and Christina Aguilera among many other celebrities, gives us his best keys to bring hair to the latest.

How did you decide to become a stylist?

I was always interested in hair and fascinated by transformation. I started teasing my mother at 7 years old.

You have worked with famous Latinas like JLo and Christina Aguilera. What is it that makes Latina hair special?

[The hair of] which I have styled has incredible density and texture to work with.

What are your best tips for treating damaged hair, how to make it shine and grow more?

Cutting hair short and often keeps damage at bay. [Also] turn down the heat on all your styling tools and every time you blow-dry your hair, use Color Wow's Kale Cocktail, which is great at preventing breakouts.

What is the key to achieving light-hearted waves like the ones Kim Kardashian wears?

Use a large hair straightener and always leave the ends loose to [get] a more natural texture. [Also] don't mark them too much. Less is more.

Platinum blonde, is it for everyone?

If you want to go to total platinum, I would always recommend going to the salon. You are pushing your hair to its limit and you need a professional to do that. You have to change your makeup and it also depends on your personality, if you do not like to attract attention, do not wear that color. It also requires a lot of care, so you have to be willing to take care of it with many treatments after the dye. If you do it right, it's a fun color!

Curly hair, giving hair back texture and movement and turning it up!
