After having had a resounding success with her portfolio line, Adriana Castro decided to extend her designs and has just launched a shoe line with Moda Operandi that is very supercool. The Colombian designer, whose father ran a crocodile farm when she was little, made herself known for the exclusive bags made of the reptile's skin. Her bags are sold in prestigious stores and many celebrities have worn them.
"I spent a long time at the factory in Spain learning the process of making shoes," the designer told WWD.com. “We had to make pieces to seduce the eye. It was all worth it".
The spring 2018 collection only has one style: loafer mule, made of crocodile skin and pastel leather just like other more vibrant ones. The flirty shoes cost between years, whose buyer Lisa Ruffle discovered the designer on social networks and was captivated by her pieces.
“Fashion women love vibrant colors and exotic skin. Adriana Castro's line offers all of this,”Ruffle said. “[Fashion women] also love having special pieces that no one else has. To offer something truly unique, we work with the brand to develop exclusive colors.”
At the moment the collection is now available to pre-order at Modaoperandi.com. Later the models will also be available on the designer's website.
