Gina Rodríguez teamed up with John Frieda to teach young women how to groom their hair and motivate them to accept its natural texture.

Virgin (CW) series star Jane is thrilled to be part of the #FrizzFreeHairGoals campaign with a beauty line that has been part of her family for years.

"I love these products. I had those products at home when I was growing up. My mom and older sister used [the line] John Frida Frizz Ease as if they were their second bible, "confesses the actress of Puerto Rican descent. “I learned from a young age that John Frida Frizz Ease was good for my hair. It works very well with my texture.”

With this campaign, Rodríguez, who recorded several tutorials with the stylist Harry Josh that will appear on the actress's social platforms as well as John Frieda's, wants to help young women with wavy hair feel proud of their hair and learn to control its fluffy texture.

“We made some videos and I'm going to share them on my Instagram. They are very easy. They are quick styles that can be used to go out with your friends or anything. Now even I know how to make them”, explains the talented young woman. I definitely want to talk to young women about how to fix, control and accept their hair. I learned from my mom that simplicity is the best”.

The actress seeks not only to show how to look soft and silky hair but also to help young women accept themselves as they are.

“In all my life I have worked in my character, in my soul and in loving who is in front of the mirror. That is part of having become someone successful, being proud of who you are,”says Rodríguez, who this year premieres his new film Deepwater Horizon. “I am trying to tell young women who they are because they are perfect, what they have is enough and it is beautiful. I pray that these videos show the girls that they must find what works for them, that they must work with what they have and they must love what they have because it is perfect.”
