In 2007 Natalia Streignard made one of the most important and complex decisions of her life: withdraw from acting to pursue her dream of starting her own family with her husband, businessman Donato Calandriello. “It was a decision of love, of looking to the future. With children, traveling is a little more difficult for you and it was not what I wanted for them, so unfortunately I had to decide between one thing and the other,”the Venezuelan actress told a long time ago in an exclusive interview with People en Español. A decade later, the one who starred in the successful Venezuelan soap opera Mi gorda bella has more than fulfilled the dream that she chased for so many years. Today, at 47, Streignard is a proud triple mom who's got her drool every time she talks about her three children: Jacques, 7, Gia, 4, and Gianni. The latter arrived just a year and a half ago to fill with happiness the beautiful home that the renowned interpreter has formed.
The baby, whose arrival was literally a miracle for Streignard since she did not expect to get pregnant so easily at her age - she was 46 years old - was baptized last weekend in an emotional ceremony in Miami to which People en Español had EXCLUSIVE access.
It took us a year and a half to be able to baptize him because we wanted the largest number of family members to be here in Miami to accompany us, it was not possible, but at least my sister and my two nephews and my other brother were there”Also tells People en Español the heroine of the hit telemundo melodrama The Storm.
“My son, the eldest, already understands what the sacraments are, so it was exciting for him. He helped the father, did not pour the holy water on him, but he dried him with the cloth and lit a candle. It was very nice. We are happy to have started Gianni on this path of God, of faith and of something as beautiful as Catholicism and beliefs”, shares Streignard.
The celebration continued at the actress's house, where "a small gathering with more family and close friends" took place. "Everything was very nice, with a lot of feeling," she adds excitedly.

Streignard's brother Ferdinand and his nephew Eli Assaf arrived on time that day to share with the actress Gianni's rite of admission to Christianity.

Streignard, who has been dedicated body and soul to her family since she retired from the world of acting after starring in the melodrama El ouramento with Osvaldo Ríos, cannot feel more fulfilling and happy with the life she currently leads after moving away from the cameras.
"My sons are my life. Today I live for them, I am for them and I enjoy them every day of my life. I feel full, fulfilled. I worked what I wanted to work, I did what I wanted to do in my life and now I have the happiness of being a mom”, says the actress. "I feel blessed by life because I have many things to be thankful for and I try to thank him trying to be a good mother to my children and to give them a good example," she adds.
The unforgettable protagonist of Mi gorda bella, who has no plans to return to television in the near future, could not be more in love with her three offspring.
“ Jacques, the great, is already a little man, he already has a personality, he is a love, a charm, he is very sweet; Gia is the earthquake of the house, independent, willful and Gianni is a divine little thing, of course she is a year and a half old, it is an earthquake too, super active but she is very skilled, she is a sweet”, says Natalia. "My three children are a miracle," he concludes.
