Fiction promises to continue to play a major role in 2020 on Univision's stellar programming grid.

In addition to the second season of Amor eterno, which will land on January 6 at 9 pm Eastern time, and the new version of Rubí, which will begin airing on January 21 to replace The Dragon; the chain is already promoting the premiere of a new TV series.

These are Doctors, Life Line, the most recent production by José Alberto Castro for Televisa starring Livia Brito, Daniel Arenas and Rodolfo Salas.

The fiction, which tells the story of a group of health professionals who face the challenge of solving complex and critical medical situations while trying to heal the wounds of their own lives, will finally be released in the United States during the first quarter of next year..

Although the chain has not yet revealed its release date or the time it will be broadcast, everything points to the fact that Doctors will be in charge of replacing the new version of Rubí from March, so it is most likely that airs Monday through Friday at 10 pm ET.

Doctors, Life Line focuses its history on the Institute of Medical Specialties, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country for the number of emergencies it serves and because it also houses the most experienced minds in each of the branches of medicine.

The story begins when during a major emergency, Dr. Lara, director of the Institute, denies the admission of a patient. This decision is the beginning of a series of fateful events, since the patient dies and one of his relatives decides to take revenge on the director.

Faced with the need for a new director, the best candidate is Doctor Gonzalo Olmedo, a renowned Neurosurgeon who has dedicated his life to providing health and treatment to people in need. Gonzalo's appointment is not to the liking of Doctor René Castillo, the Administrative Director of the Institute, since he used to take personal advantage through shady deals with suppliers and laboratories, among other acts of corruption.

As soon as Gonzalo takes over, a sewer of mismanagement and irregularities is uncovered that makes him understand that the Institute is worse than he thought, but instead of giving up, he intends to work hard with his team of specialists, to implement a process of successful care.
