Whoever says they don't know what Facebook is has been living under a stone. What started out as a simple page for college students to connect has become a true universe. Something that has surprised me is that Hispanics use this social network in astronomical quantities. If we are about fifty million Latinos in the United States and 27.6 million are connected to Facebook, that means that, except for children and the elderly, we all have an account.

The owner of the Facebook directory and one of its most important creators, Mark Zuckerberg, received me at the headquarters of the social network that has just marked a milestone in the history of the young company: 2 billion users.

Mark greeted me at the famous MPK20 building in Menlo Park, CA, where the operation that has ramifications in almost everyone is run. He was finishing lunch at his office, which by the way is in an open space, surrounded by colleagues and from there we went to the iconic aquarium - that's what his glass conference room is called. As I began to explain all the new Facebook projects, I was impressed by their calmness, their security and the conviction that the company they created is opening new frontiers. For him, the world must be connected and we must all have a purpose in life. Its function, now, is to provide the tools so that those communities that have formed around the world have the power to make a difference.

The sensation, when talking to him, is that he was facing a leader who has enormous power in his hands and who wants to take advantage of him to make the world better. With all the fortune he has amassed, he could retire, with the family he has created, and watch his masterpiece grow as he looks after his foundation. That's typical in Silicon Valley, but Mark has a purpose in his life. It will not leave Facebook adrift. He still has a lot to do, he doesn't even go half the way and I felt that from the moment I entered the building.

In this interview I want to show the executive, the creator, but also the human being, the dad.

Until next month,
