A few weeks ago, it was revealed that the daughter of Alicia Villarreal and Arturo Carmona, Melanie, had been the victim of abuse when she arrived at the university where she studied. However, now the singer denies that version and explains exactly what was the experience of her first-born.

"She [her daughter Melanie] got out of her car and heard that a guy came running and shouting a name, since it was not his name, she kept going to go to school," Villarreal told the media. "The guy grabs her arm and turns her around, says, ' Abigail, I don't know what,' she says, 'I'm not Abigail,' he freaks out and leaves. So she went to school and made the day normal. And it was that a guy got confused as a girl."

According to the interpreter of "Yo sin tu amor", he commented that the confusion occurred when his ex-husband, Carmona, made a public statement before they would tell him about the whole event; therefore, she became concerned and thought that something more serious had happened. Subsequently, they spoke with him to clarify everything.

"We spoke to his dad and he was very concerned; he had a play in Monterrey and he was very uneasy and scared," he explained. "They interviewed him after the play and he said it like that. But this was just a boy who fought with his girl [girlfriend] or I don't know what."

Although nothing serious happened, Alicia Villarreal did take action because what happened happened in the vicinity of the university, but did not carry out any legal process.

"I went to make a record of events due to a situation that happened around the school, but not a [legal] complaint because, to be honest, it didn't amount to anything like that."
