Ukrainian Dmitry Ivchenko Cuts His Wife's Rapist's Penis

A Ukrainian man cut the penis of his wife's suspected rapist after witnessing the attack.

The 27-year-old unidentified man was on his way to his home in Shevchenkovo, eastern Ukraine, on Saturday when he saw the alleged attacker sexually assault his wife after the couple ate with friends at a restaurant, reports the The Sun portal.

According to reports, victim Dmitry Ivchenko left the restaurant first, leaving about 10 minutes later. The man heard a commotion through the bushes near his apartment before seeing Ivchenko, 25, suffocating his wife while raping her.

After hitting Ivchenko on the head, the woman's husband used his Swiss Army knife to cut off his penis. The attacker underwent surgery in a hospital, but will require prolonged treatment, according to local media reports. It is unclear whether doctors will be able to replace Ivchenko's penis.

"The husband lost the ability to control his actions," said his attorney, Dmitry Spaskin. "I didn't understand what I was doing."

The husband, still in "shock" after the bloody assault, walked more than 8 miles to a neighboring village, where he asked a friend to take him to a police station.

Spaskin told the Daily Mail that his client "fully confessed" that he cut Ivchenko's penis.

The spouse accused of causing serious bodily harm and sentenced to house arrest, reports The Sun.
