Hispanic Mother Denounces Police Brutality Against Her Son

A young Hispanic man was the victim of police brutality in New York, his mother reported the event to the local Univision station seeking justice.

The incident took place on Ridgewood Avenue in Brooklyn while Raymundo Batista, 28, and a group of friends were grilling outdoors and playing dominoes, where they apparently had loud music. Police appeared on the scene twice after being called by area residents disturbed by the noise.

According to Batista's mother, her son was videotaping his friends while they were being arrested when one of the police officers told him to stop recording and that was when he was hit.

That is not their way of dealing. What did he want ?, to decapitate him?” Sandra Batista told Univision 41.“Because the way you see him press down, it was as if he wanted to detach his head”

In the video, you can see how one of the young men struggles with the policemen before being arrested. Raymond Batista continues behind bars on three counts, including obstruction of authority, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
