Elizabeth Guzmán, a Virginia state delegate, has stolen all the media attention for the past few hours as she will do something that many experts believe will leave a mark on the political history of the United States.

Mother of four and born in Peru, this Latina leader will deliver a response in Spanish to President Donald Trump, right after he makes his first State of the Union address.

But who is this 44-year-old woman who will carry the voice of millions of Hispanics and immigrants before the president and who will also do so in Spanish?

She came to the United States as a single mother, looking for new opportunities and a better life for her oldest daughter. She left everything behind in her native Peru with the idea of achieving that American dream, the same one that millions of immigrants bring when they reach the land of freedom.

After arriving in the country with his daughter, he had to start a new life full of sacrifices, which included at some point having three jobs to be able to offset his essential expenses, as revealed by Bustle on his online site.

15 years later, its history has totally changed and in a way it is a total example that that American dream still exists. She is married again, had three more children, managed to finish two master's degrees in recognized universities and is a recognized Latina spokesperson in her community.

Elizabeth knows how important her speech will be and that her words may make the President uncomfortable, starting with the fact that her message will be in Spanish.

"When someone disagrees with him … he (Trump) is often cruel in his responses … whatever he says I am prepared," he revealed in conversation with The Washington Post.

Guzmán's speech will be broadcast on Univisión, Telemundo and CNN en Español just after President Trump delivers his first State of the Union address to all members of the United States Congress.
