Not even his position as Dallas, Texas District Attorney could save Jody Warner, who was fired from her job by insulting an Uber driver.
After having a good time in a bar, Warner asked for Uber's service and boarded the car of Shaun Platt, 26. Apparently, the woman did not think of the route the driver took to take her to her destination and, somewhat drunk, began to insult him, and of course, to win the race, he boasted of his high public office.
However, his arrogance and bad manners cost the woman, who worked in cases of crimes against minors. Platt decided to record it on his cell phone while it insulted him. And according to information from the Dallas Morning News, Warner, 32, was fired after her bosses saw the recording. According to these, the dismissal decision was because the behavior of her employee was contrary to the principles of integrity of the prosecution, since prosecutors are an example of justice, professionalism and ethical conduct not only within, but also outside of court.
Thus, by insulting his driver, Warner did not comply with the precepts. In the video you can clearly see how the woman attacked Platt, first blaming him for kidnapping her and after he asked her to get out of the car, the woman began to swear at him. "Oh God, you're an idiot, you're a legitimate retard … I want the cops to come fuck you … I think this is already a kidnapping …".
After the altercation, the driver called 911 and authorities detained the woman. Platt was restless and despite not pressing charges against Warner, he decided to share what happened on his Facebook.
With no other choice, Warner apologized during a press conference and accepted that he had been drinking. According to information from ABC, the driver regretted that the woman lost her job, however she made it very clear that people cannot be treated like this.
