Cristian Castro Talks About The Relationship With His Children

The beloved Mexican singer Cristian Castro, 44, recently opened his heart and revealed details of the relationship he has with his children. The heir to legendary actress Verónica Castro also shared a few words about how difficult it was for him to have grown up without his dad.

"I am as affectionate as I can be, to give them my support and make them feel that I am there, despite the fact that I am a ghost," said Cristián about what coexistence with his offspring is like. "(My children) are part of my world, but they are not my world," said the interpreter in conversation with the entertainment program Suelta la Sopa on Telemundo.

When questioned about the absence of Manuel el Loco Valdés during his childhood years, Castro did not hesitate to assure that, although this situation caused him great sadness, his uncles in some way filled the role of father in his life. "We had a small house and we forged ourselves there, in poverty … also in the luck of my mother, who made a tremendous explosion in those (80s), and that absence was not felt so much, that sadness that is great", he explained.

"I did not grow up with my dad, sadly, sadly, my parents could not be together … I am very happy to be a product of that romance … the truth I thank God for being the son of my dad," he added emotionally.

But despite the relationship that the two have been able to forge, after the years of estrangement they had, the Mexican made it clear that he does not see Valdés as a father figure in his life. "I consider him a friend, an acquaintance, I cannot consider him as that father because I did not feel him."
