Danna García still remembers as if it were yesterday the day her doctor told her that it would be difficult for her to become pregnant at her age since at that time she was about to reach 40. “The doctor said to me 'well how did you not have the boy at 20 I don't know if you can have it so easy now. ' And I 'what'. I was really scared ", remembers the protagonist of successful soap operas like Pasión de gavilanes (2003) and Qué bonito amor (2012). Fortunately, her doctor's warning was not followed, and the Colombian actress had no problem getting pregnant easily. The reliable proof of this is today Dante, his beautiful and healthy firstborn, who next July will be two years old. "Dante is beautiful and great," said the heroine of the melodrama Las Amazonas, whose life has taken a 180 degree turn in the last year and a half following the birth of his son.
“I was a mom recently, I had never had the experience and I did not imagine that this was so. Having a child is a job,”said Danna, who acknowledges that she is still learning to be a mother.
Dante is too restless, he ignores me. He doesn't understand the word 'no'. I have not managed to understand the word 'no'. I'm about to go to a child psychologist. This is an adventure”, confessed with laughter the soap opera star. "[But] he is very good and very loving," he added.
Danna shares the adventure of being a mother with her partner, a Spanish journalist by the name of Iván González with whom she has not yet married, despite the fact that they have been engaged for years.
“I got engaged but I always tell him that later because we are busy right now. That's the truth. Before, we postponed it for many reasons, but now the truth is that I prefer to save for other things,”he confesses with a laugh.
"Getting married is very expensive," adds Danna, whose priorities in life have changed since Dante's birth. "In principle, I did not want to do much [referring to work] just because the child is very young," he admits.
In his plans, however, he is not neglecting acting. "Yes, there are things, they will see me soon," he says.
