While Univision has managed to form a solid stellar programming bar in December, which includes the successful Turkish soap opera Amor eterno and the Mexican melodrama Ringo starring José Ron and Mariana Torres; Telemundo does not seem to find its place during the last month of the year.

The Spanish-language network has not been successful with its latest premieres in the field of fiction, the unit Decisiones and the Turkish soap opera El Sultán, which are not achieving the expected audience data.

Perhaps that is why Telemundo has not thought twice about moving the card and has chosen to make important changes to its stellar programming starting next week, starting with the time slot at 9 pm EST.

Starting this Monday, December 23, Decisiones will air one hour earlier than usual, at 8 pm Eastern time, giving way to a special edition of the first season of La doña that will condense the most important moments in history that starred in 2016 Aracely Arámbula, Danna Paola and David Chocarro and whose new season will premiere on Monday, January 13.

"On the way to its grand premiere on Monday, January 13, relive the first season of La Doña every night in a special edition starting this Monday at 9/8 C on Telemundo," the network announced.

What is not very clear is what will happen to El Sultán since from next week its schedule will be occupied by the unit Decisiones, so it would either go off the air or go on to be broadcast in another time slot. Either way, the fiction will come out of prime time starting next Monday.

According to Nielsen's audience data released by PRODU last Tuesday, December 17, both stories from Telemundo, El Sultán and Decisiones, currently remain the least viewed fictions in Hispanic prime time with a wide difference from Univision's.
