It would be the biggest of understatements to say that there's a lot going on in the world right now - and it's only natural that so very many of us are wondering what the future will hold. And, well, Miley Cyrus wants Malia Obama to be the president one day, and we've got to say, that's a pretty brilliant idea!

She won't be eligible to run for president for another 17 years, but there's no reason why we can't start campaigning early. After all, she's a perfect candidate who already knows the ins and outs of the presidential life because of her dad (cough, Barack Obama), and she's a ridiculously smart decision maker. It's a no-brainer, really.

Cyrus was glad to see Malia at the Sundance Film Festival's Dakota Access Pipeline protest, and we're thinking this sealed the deal

The #MaliaForPresident hashtag has a nice ring to it, don't you think? But let's not put too much pressure on Malia… she's still a teenager! And regardless of your interest in her becoming president, she's a great person to follow the pursuits of, just generally. This year she's starting a super cool internshipwith Harvey Weinstein to learn about film marketing and development, which is making us jealous.

Malia is definitely a go-getter. Whether she dives into politics or not, any profession would be lucky to have her. In the meantime, it's awesome to see so many young people - Miley and Malia are just the tip of the iceberg - getting actively involved in politics and inspiring important, intelligent conversations.

Now more than ever, it's hugely important to stand up for what you believe in and continue actively working towards positive change. And Malia, if you are thinking of pursuing politics sometime in the future… you've got our vote!
