Fresh from Rio, Laurie Hernandez is ready to shake it off. The two-time Olympic gymnast is adding competitive dancing to her upcoming schedule as she competes in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, reported ET.
Rumors had been spreading of the Olympian joining DWTS after Hernandez told US Weekly in a recent interview that she likes the idea of being on the show.
"The thought of it sounds really cool," she said. "We have the tour coming up, so we'll see what goes on with that, but I love Dancing with the Stars, I watched it all the time when I was little."
Professional dancer Mark Ballas gave Hernandez a foreshadowing shoutout earlier this month tweeting “I absolutely adore @ lzhernandez02 just gorgeous #starpower #needadanceteacher? # RioOlympics2016.”
Other rumored stars to be in the upcoming season include Ryan Lochte, Amber Rose, JoJo Fletcher, and Jake T. Austin. The confirmed cast will be announced tomorrow, August 30th, on Good Morning America.
