At the beginning of the year we all somehow dream about what we would like to change during the new year to achieve our goals. Some people even make their lists: quit smoking, exercise, lose weight, get the dream job … The ideas are many and fabulous but, according to experts, we abandoned all those good purposes almost before we started.
So that this time does not happen to us the same as every year, we asked this inspiring guru of healthy life, the beautiful Carla Zaplana, to share her tips so that we do not fail before January ends and we are motivated to really comply with our purposes. These are her tips, do you dare to follow them?
1- Share your goals with those people you see often. They will help you stay firm in your purposes. They will bear witness to your intentions: if you don't do it for yourself, you will do it out of commitment to them.
2-Reduces the "effort activation" time. It is scientifically proven that if you reduce the time it takes to do a new activity, you will be more likely to do it. If you want to learn to play the ukulele, leave it in the dining room or next to the sofa. If you keep it tucked away in the study closet, you will never find the time.
3-Do not obsess over the result. Focus on what will help you get there. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, don't waste time weighing yourself on the scale every morning and invest it in going up and down the stairs, instead of taking the elevator, and make sure to go for a run or go to the gym at least 3 times a week.
4-Set yourself a real goal. Do not set yourself unattainable goals because you will easily throw in the towel and do not forget to break down your final goal into the steps necessary to reach it. That way, you can see and measure your progress and see yourself getting closer to it.
5-Look for actions that do not require great will power. For example, if you want to lose weight, don't force yourself to run every day on the treadmill at the gym. On the other hand, if you love to dance, join swing classes twice a week, you will see how you move your body and do not skip one. Same thing if you want to start eating more vegetables: if you don't like spinach, start making a green smoothie with your favorite fruits plus that green leaf. Don't pretend you're going to eat a whole plate of spinach if you can't even see it!
6-Invest in a professional guide. If your goal is to have a better organization in your company and be more productive, invest in good advice. The same with winning in health: invest in a good nutritionist and / or personal trainer so that they give you the keys made to measure for you. You will reach your goal faster and with greater security. After all, you will save money in the long run! Then you can continue reading books and articles about it, but you will have a clear address.
If you want to know more about the wise advice of this intelligent woman, who counts among her famous healthy life-loving clients such as Marco Antonio Regil, look her up on her networks under Carla Zaplana. I encourage with your purposes! Yes you can!
