Jelly of cajeta with walnuts
(Makes 6 to 8 servings)
INGREDIENTS
3 sachets of unflavored gelatin
1 cup of water at a time
3 cups of almond milk
1 bottle of cajeta or can of dulce de leche
½ cup of chopped walnuts
Wild berries to taste
PREPARATION
1. Boil the water and add the flavorless gelatin. In another pot, heat the milk without boiling and add the cajeta moving until it dissolves.
2. Add the unflavored gelatin to the cajeta mixture. In a refractory container, place the nuts and add the mixture. Let cool and refrigerate for about 3 to 4 hours, or until firm. Once ready, serve it with wild berries.
