Violence has gripped the streets of Mississippi where a terrible shooting has occurred that has left eight fatalities so far.
Although the relationship between the victims and their attacker is still unknown, spokesman for the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Warren Strain, said the shootings occurred in three different homes on Saturday night.
The suspect has finally been arrested and during his arrest he made statements to The Clarion-Ledger newspaper as: "I am not fit to live, not after what I did." The alleged murderer named Willie Cory Godbolt and is 35 years old assures in this video that his intention was to commit suicide with the police.
Among the deceased is Assistant Sheriff William Durr, 36. During his arrest, he apologized for having taken his life. According to him, this was not in his plans, he was just there, in the wrong place, and he had to do it. Cory was talking to reporters as he lay on the ground calmly explaining what had happened. Shortly after, he would be transferred to the hospital to be treated for the injuries sustained.
Although no charges have yet been filed against the alleged attacker, nor are the causes of the massacre known, the case is already in the hands of the authorities to try to find out the reason for the terrible events.
