It seems that Starbucks will continue to show that it not only disagrees with President Donald Trump's controversial immigration order, but also that he will do everything possible to support the immigrants that his company has.
After Howard Schultz, CEO of the prestigious chain, announced that he would employ 10,000 refugees, the firm has now confirmed that it will provide free legal advice to its employees who need help in immigration matters.
"Our partners (employees) and their families have questions about travel and immigration status, so we wanted to help them with a new immigration counseling program that meets their needs," Reggie Borges, spokesperson for the multinational, told The Huffington Post..
The same coffee giant confirmed that this decision to create a legal program for its employees is strictly due to a response to the recent executive order signed by the president, which restricts the entry to the country of travelers from Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen., Somalia, Sudan and Libya, nations where the Muslim religion predominates.
"Following the recent executive order that has placed restrictions on immigration and the subsequent legal problems with its implementation, we understand that many partners still have questions about what this means for them," the message continues. "Our partners come first and we lead humanely."
