Helio Neto Does Not Remember Anything About The Plane Crash

Carlos Mendoça, the doctor who treated Helio Neto, said in an interview that the Chapecoense footballer does not remember anything about the tragic accident of November 28.

The defender of the Chapecoense team woke up from the coma, and just asked what was the result of the final match against Atlético Nacional for the Copa Sudamericana. "Neto has been spontaneously breathing for more than 24 hours and can now speak," Mendoça said on GloboEsporte.com. "The defender does not know that the plane crashed."

Mendoça stressed that Neto needs psychological help. "There is a recommendation from a psychologist not to tell her what happened and avoid an emotional shock that would be detrimental to current clinical recovery," she explained. "He continues in intensive care, so he needs an accompaniment at all times."

Neto was one of the survivors of the plane crash that was carrying 22 members of the Chapecoense team, journalists and technicians. The causes of the tragedy, according to reports, was the lack of fuel.

Jackson Follman, another of the surviving footballers who traveled on the plane, thanked through his social networks last week for all the support and expressions of love from the people.
